# Notepad

Simple no-login notepad widget — jot text anywhere, auto-saved locally.

**Type:** `ui-settings` — see `.claude/skills/kazuo-create-plugin/references/plugin-examples.md`

## What it does

- One large text area. Type freely; text auto-saves ~400ms after you stop typing.
- Persistence uses the plugin settings store (`setSettings`), so notes are saved **locally on
this machine** — no account, no server, matching the "no login" requirement.
- Live word / character count in the header.
- Trash button clears the note (asks for confirmation first).

## Files

- `manifest.json` — metadata, `defaultSettings`, `defaultWidgetConfig`
- `widget.html` / `js/widget.js` / `css/widget.css` — main UI (text area + auto-save)
  - has its own "⚙" button + settings overlay built into widget.html/widget.js (host no longer
    provides a per-widget gear icon — see references/plugin-runtime-api.md section 1b)
- `settings.html` / `js/settings.js` / `css/settings.css` — same appearance fields as the widget
overlay (intentionally duplicated), used by the Plugin Manager screen and the pop-out window
- `locales/en.json5` / `locales/vi.json5` — UI strings, `widget.*`/`settings.*` namespaces

## Default settings

- `content` — default: `""` (the note text)
- `fontSize` — default: `14` (editor font size in px)
- `wordWrap` — default: `true` (off = horizontal scroll instead of wrapping)

## Test

Open Kazuo AI → Plugin Manager — this plugin appears automatically (the host scans
`plugins-library/` on its own, no registration needed) → Install → Enable.
